Reexamining Culture and Identity: Shifting My Creative Focus

I am closely observing the world’s developments while exploring my own heritage and cultural roots. My journey through my family’s history has been a healing process for both my health and mind, but it is also prompting me to refocus my creative efforts.

Lately, I have felt a sense of isolation. It seems those around me are retreating into silence, avoiding important discussions. I cannot, in good conscience, look away as others may do to preserve their peace of mind. I feel a strong spiritual duty to stand for something greater than myself – the belief that treating all individuals with dignity should be an unquestioned norm, not something subject to debate or division.

I am an individual with a dream and an unwavering commitment to bringing it to fruition. I envision my art in people’s homes, offering them comfort and inspiration. I hope my work can provide a source of positivity, encouraging others to reflect on their own dreams and aspirations. I have observed a lack of authentic representation of my culture and heritage in art, and I am determined to address this gap.

As I continue creating and growing, my goal is to contribute to a world where human dignity is the standard, where art acts as a bridge connecting people of all backgrounds, and where our shared vision for a better future is realized in a collective masterpiece painted with unity and understanding.
